10k Gold Rings

10k gold is 41.7% pure gold, and that lower purity is exactly why it is the hardest, most scratch-resistant gold we work with. If you want a ring you genuinely never take off — through work, gym, washing up, gardening — 10k is the sensible metal, and it is also the least expensive.

The trade-off is colour. 10k yellow reads paler than 18k because there is less gold in the alloy. Some people prefer that lighter, more contemporary tone; others want the deep warmth only higher karats give. Neither is better, but it is worth seeing both before deciding.

All three colours are made here: yellow, white and rose. White gold is rhodium plated for a bright finish and will need replating every few years as the plating wears — that is normal for all white gold, at any karat.
