Collection: Platinum Bands

Platinum is the metal most men choose when they want a wedding band that will not need attention. It is naturally white, so it never needs rhodium plating and will not drift yellow the way white gold does. It is also hypoallergenic, which matters if gold alloys have irritated your skin before.

The property that decides it for most people is how platinum wears. Gold loses metal to scratches; platinum displaces it, so the material stays on the ring and develops a soft satin patina instead of thinning. Some men prefer that worn finish and never polish it. Others have it polished back every few years. Either way the band keeps its weight and structure — which is why platinum is the metal we most often recommend for someone who works with their hands and will never take the ring off.

It is noticeably heavier than gold in the hand, and it costs more for the same design because it is denser and rarer. Handcrafted in our own workshop in classic, plain metal and diamond-set styles.
