Collection: Plain Metal

A plain metal band is the most durable ring we make, for the simple reason that there is nothing set into it to come loose. No stones, no prongs, no pavé to check. For anyone in a trade, a hospital, a kitchen or a gym, this is the band that survives.

The decisions are width, profile and metal. Court profile is rounded inside and out and is the most comfortable for a first-time ring wearer. Flat court keeps a flat exterior with a rounded interior. D-shape is flat inside, domed outside, and reads more traditional.

On metal, remember that lower karats are harder: 10k resists marking best, 18k is richer in colour but softer. Platinum will not lose metal at all — it displaces into a satin patina rather than wearing thin.

Compare with platinum bands, classic bands and all men's wedding rings.
