Huggie Earrings

A huggie is a small hoop that sits close against the lobe rather than hanging from it. That closeness is the point: it stays put under a pillow, a helmet or a phone, which makes it the earring most people leave in permanently.

Because the diameter is small, the diamonds are proportionally more visible than on a large hoop, and a hinged snap closure keeps it secure without a separate back to lose.
